Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary
With minimal supervision, the candidate will support the Maintenance Department in various roles including, but not limited to, operating and performing corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant utility systems. This candidate will support Maintenance, Building and Grounds and other cross functional departments as requested.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
o Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual preventative maintenance and operation of plant equipment including, but not limited to, ammonia compressors, glycol concentrators, liquid ammonia pumps and receivers.
o Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual inspections, including testing, verification, and/or calibration on plant utility systems.
o Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve utility failures.
o Repair and modification of plant utility equipment/systems with precision maintenance techniques as necessary.
o Responsible for maintaining a safe environment, including LOTO, SQF, GMP's and departmental policies
o Perform all duties in accordance with safety regulations and Process Safety Management.
o Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
o Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual preventative maintenance on plant operating equipment such as conveyors, packaging equipment, slicers, pumps, loaders, and injectors.
o Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve complex operating equipment failures.
o Provide immediate and long-term corrective action to complex operating equipment failures utilizing root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
o Utilize advanced maintenance techniques and equipment to assess the health of operating equipment and predict failures before they occur such as thermo graphic and vibration analysis.
o Repair and modification of plant operating equipment with precision maintenance techniques as necessary.
o Repair and rebuild complex operating equipment.
o Perform all duties in accordance with safety regulations.
o Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Education
o Associates degree or equivalent certification with three years of refrigeration and heating work experience is preferred.
Experience
o 5
years' experience in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, controls/PLC equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Past experience operating ammonia systems, boilers and/or utility systems preferred.
o Solid mechanical aptitude is required.

Skills
o Ability to read, writes, and speaks English effectively.
o Demonstrated knowledge and experience maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding complex operating equipment.
o Advanced mechanical skills including hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and troubleshooting techniques.
o Strong electrical knowledge and PLC/controls experience preferred.
o Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations in the American and Metric systems.
o Ability to use schematics and blue prints during routine troubleshooting.
o Proficient in the use of hand tools, shop tools, and mill/lathe.
o Basic TIG welding experience preferred.
o Ability to work in a team environment.
o Basic computer skills required.
Qualifications
o Mechanical skills including power transmission, pneumatic, lubrication, and troubleshooting techniques preferred.
o Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations in the American and Metric systems.
o Ability to use schematics and blue prints during routine troubleshooting.
o Proficient in the use of hand tools and shop tools.
o Ability to work in a team environment.
o Ability to work variable shifts, weekends, and/or holidays.
o Comfortable operating at high elevations
o Ability to lift or move 50 pounds.
o Ability to withstand wet, humid, cold, and hot environments.
o Basic computer skills.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
